ABOUT US

Founded by husband and wife, Justine and Lachlan Spencer.  Justine an Occupational Therapist and Lachlan a Carpenter, however both growing up in the Sutherland Shire and spending most of their time down Cronulla Beach in the ocean, particularly surfing.

For Justine and Lachlan their biggest aim of the program is; Disability Inclusion and Closing the Gap to promote independence, inclusion in society and the quality of life for people with a disability.

The Ocean has provided so many countless memories and a place to reset and recharge for Justine and Lachlan, they want to help and support others regulation through a positive impact of Surf Therapy, Ocean Safety and Surfing on the mental, emotional, sensory and physical aspects of the individuals part of the program.

Justine graduated as an Occupational Therapist from The University of Western Sydney in 2016 where she commenced working as a Paediatric OT with Sensational Kids OT.  At present, she continues to provide intervention in a clinic, home and school-based environment.  From experience of offering various programs out in the community and the never ending benefits to her clients and their families, there was a gap noted for these individuals to be able to go to the beach in a safe and supportive way, to feel confident and guided to participate and enjoy surfing and all whilst achieving therapy goals in a discrete and inclusive way.
